OK, admittedly this has nothing to do with education, writing, editing, thinking, or communications. Well, maybe it does relate to communications. Why is it when two cars come to an intersection from opposite directions, and each wants to turn to head in the same direction, the person turning right ALWAYS turns into the left lane, when traffic laws everywhere make it clear that you should turn into the same lane you’re turning from? It’s simple, people. If you’re turning right onto a two-lane street, turn into the right lane. If you’re turning left, turn into the left lane. I’d hazard a guess that people obeying this simple law would reduce intersection congestion significantly.
Just another reason to walk or bike.
